TAMBOR CARIOCA’s percussion classes are directed by Sérgio Conforti.
Tambor Carioca plays and teaches whole Brazilian rhythms like samba, marchinha, baião, xote, galope, xaxado, maracatu, ciranda, carimbó and ijexá among others using typical carioca’s carnival instruments only like tamborim, pandeiro (tamborine), caixa (snare drum), repique, surdo, ganzá (shake) and agogô.
We developed a specific method to attend different students’ knowledge levels.
Students play TAMBOR CARIOCA’s list songs with its professional musicians.

PROGRAM:
1-Differents percussion instruments grooves.
2-Rhythms theory first concepts.
3-Differents Brazilian patterns.
4-Patterns changing, fills and breaks.
5-TAMBOR CARIOCA’s list songs rehearsals.
